The festive season is very much under way, and with it a flurry of seasonal activities inevitably ensue, from hunting down the perfect gift to decorating trees and simply gathering with loved ones. With this in mind, we introduce the Another Man Christmas Playlist, a perfect soundtrack for December’s goings ons curated by Vincent Pons, assistant to Another Man’s creative director Alister Mackie.
The playlist’s 24 tracks span seasonal music by rock gods, soul figureheads and underground icons, including Iggy Pop’s gravelly rendition of White Christmas, Sonic Youth’s playfully anti-establishment Santa Doesn’t Cop Out On Dope and The Rolling Stones’ soulfully tender Winter. A few festive anthems also feature, including Wham!’s irresistable Last Christmas and Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. So settle down by the fire, and press play.
