Add Your Own “Sad Bangers” to Mark Ronson’s Mixtape Exchange

Ahead of the release of Late Night Feelings, Mark Ronson is asking fans around the world to share their favourite “sad bangers” as a mixtape exchange. Here, Another Man’s picks

Since breaking into the industry at the beginning of the millennium, producer and DJ Mark Ronson has garnered acclaim and gathered awards for his music, collaborating with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Lily Allen and Lady Gaga along the way. To coincide with the release of his fifth album, Late Night Feelings – a slow-burning set of “sad bangers” – Ronson takes over the Another Man website, with a series of articles spanning interviews and guides that offer a glimpse into his world and the new record.

Ahead of the release of new album Late Night Feelings this Friday (June 21), Mark Ronson is asking friends and collaborators to name their own favourite sad bangers, in a mixtape series designed to unleash a river of tears on the dancefloor. Another Man’s picks include a forgotten disco gem from Gloria Ann Taylor (Love Is a Hurtin’ Thing), swooning rocksteady from Phyllis Dillon (Perfidia), and a slow-building epic from London pop prodigy Nilüfer Yanya (Baby Blu). Todd Terry’s towering house remix of Everything But the Girl’s Missing seemed to good to pass up, as did Will You Love Me Tomorrow, a 60s girl-group classic interpreted by Ronson with Amy Winehouse for the Lioness collection. Enjoy!

Late Night Feelings by Mark Ronson is out June 21, 2019.
