Timothée Chalamet Is Set to Play Bob Dylan in an Upcoming Biopic

Timothée Chalamet has enjoyed whirlwind success since his Oscar-nominated performance in 2017’s Call Me By Your Name. Since, the young actor has starred in widely acclaimed films Lady Bird, Beautiful Boy, and most recently, Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, among others. In news that has sent the internet into meltdown today, Chalamet is set to star as Bob Dylan in a biopic about the music icon’s formative years titled Going Electric. Directed by Walk The Line filmmaker James Mangold, the upcoming feature will depict Dylan’s early years, chronicling his transition from folk music to rock’n’roll by embracing the electric guitar. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old is coming to London this April to star in Amy Herzog’s acclaimed play 4000 Miles at the Old Vic.
