These New Puritans, the band comprising twin brothers Jack and George Barnett, have just announced their new album Inside the Rose and shared its title track and accompany video – a short film by Harley Weir, who has photographed Skepta, Bobby Gillespie and Sky Ferreira for Another Man.
Jack, who appeared alongside George on the cover of the S/S17 issue of Another Man, says the songs featured on Inside the Rose “are about beauty, transcendence, desire, oblivion, ecstasy and eyes”. This is reflected in Weir’s short film which, styled by Another Man’s fashion director Ellie Grace Cumming, features a writhing mass of flesh, fabric and flowing liquids – true to the image and filmmaker’s sensuous signature style.
