Today Louis Vuitton announced the news of an upcoming capsule collection, Louis Vuitton LV² – or Louis Vuitton squared, if you will – set to arrive for Pre-Fall 2020. The collection sees Men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh collaborate with Japanese multi-hyphenate and long-time friend, Nigo, who is best known for founding cult Japanese streetwear brand BAPE. Though exact details remain a mystery, the collaboration promises to fuse Abloh and Nigo’s individual approaches to menswear in a one-off collection, encompassing ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories. The news arrives just days after the reveal of Louis Vuitton’s futuristic League of Legends collaboration, a playful take on the widely adored game designed by Nicolas Ghesquière.
