Givenchy Is Staging Its Next Menswear Show in Florence

This morning, Givenchy revealed that its upcoming menswear show will be held in Florence this June, where the Parisian house will be a guest of Pitti Uomo. The show will mark a first – British designer Clare Waight Keller’s debut solo menswear show since she took over as creative director in 2017, following an intimate salon-style presentation in Paris this January. “Obviously being a French couture house, our roots are in Paris, but to take the first leap into menswear on a runway level, I felt that would be an incredibly special moment to do it,” Waight Keller said in an interview WWD. Givenchy will follow Glenn Martens’ Y/Project, who hosted a torchlit show in the city’s Santa Maria Novella church as Pitti’s guest designer in January; previously Raf Simons, JW Anderson, and Craig Green have all shown as part of the fair.
