Riccardo Tisci Enlists Peter Saville to Rebrand Burberry

Ahead of his inaugural show as Burberry’s chief creative officer at London Fashion Week this September, Riccardo Tisci has revealed the first stage in his creative overhaul of the British house: a new logo and monogram. Created in collaboration with legendary graphic designer Peter Saville, best known for his record sleeves for New Order and Joy Division, the monogram comprises Thomas Burberry’s initials, TB, interlocking over a honey-coloured background. According to an “email correspondance” between Saville and Tisci, the pair took inspiration from the house’s archive, “especially a logo from 1908 and a Thomas Burberry monogram.”
