Watch Blood Orange’s New Benzo Music Video  

Blood Orange has debuted a music video for Benzo, a song from the new mixtape Angel’s Pulse which was released on July 12, 2019. Dev Hynes stays true to his Renaissance man roots, directing and editing the video himself with production help from Elara Pictures, the movie studio behind much of the Safdie brothers’ work. Set in a royal court, frequent Blood Orange collaborator Ian Isiah plays a dismally bored aristocrat whom Hynes must perform for. Sporting a pastel-coloured court wig, a cream ruff and black Tabi boots, Hynes shreds his cello and succeeds in lifting the sombre mood of the pre-revolutionary salon.
