- TextAnother Man
Mark E. Smith, the post-punk legend and frontman of The Fall, has died aged 60. The band’s manager Pam Vander aka Pam Van Damned confirmed the news with the following statement: “It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mark E Smith. He passed this morning at home. A more detailed statement will follow in the next few days. In the meantime, Pam and Mark’s family request privacy at this sad time.” His former bandmate Mark Riley, now a radio DJ, was on air when the news broke and paid tribute to the musician, saying he “taught me a lot about life and he taught me a lot about music”.
