Blondey McCoy Stars In Berluti’s Sun-Drenched S/S20 Campaign

Berluti has revealed its Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, which stars artist, designer and skater Blondey McCoy. Captured on the streets of Rome by friend and collaborator Alasdair McLellan, the campaign sees McCoy lounge on cobbled steps in the storied Italian city, wearing sharp tailoring, a paint-splattered shirt and accompanying turquoise dress shoes. “Blondey immaculately blends the qualities of an old soul with the lust for life of a new generation,” says Berluti’s artistic director Kris Van Assche. “For Berluti... his refined rebellious attitude is the spirit with which this maison is entering a new decade.” Shot in McLellan’s characteristically sun-soaked style, the campaign marks the photographer’s first project of the year with McCoy – an artistic relationship which last year culminated in the publishing of Blondey 15-21, a monograph chronicling the pair’s work since meeting in 2013. Speaking to Another Man last year, the photographer discussed his relationship with McCoy – read the interview here.
