The British Fashion Council Announces This Year’s NEWGEN Recipients

This morning, the BFC has announced this year’s NEWGEN recipients; 20 designers who will received financial support and showcasing opportunities, helping them turning their brands into successful businesses. In the past they’ve helped people including Alexander McQueen, JW Anderson, Craig Green and Simone Rocha. Selected by a committee that includes Vogue Runway’s chief critic Sarah Mower and Another Man’s editor-in-chief Ben Cobb, 2019’s recipients include: Ahluwalia Studio, ART SCHOOL, ASAI, Bethany Williams, Bianca Saunders, paria /FARZANEHRoker and Stefan Cooke (who are receiving NEWGEN support for the first time), as well as A-COLD-WALL, Alighieri, Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, Halpern, ISOSCELES Lingerie, Matty Bovan, Nicholas Daley, Per Götesson, Richard Malone, Richard Quinn and Supriya Lele (who are continuing to receive support). Plus, the ‘NEWGEN ONE TO WATCH’ support has been awarded to Eftychia, who will be given an exhibition space at London Fashion Week this September.
