Hairstylist Anthony Turner Launches a Queer Youth Zine

He’s been the hairstylist on some of our best cover shoots – Harry Styles, Oliver Sim, Oli Burslem, Cillian Murphy, David Beckham, King Krule, and more – and that’s not to mention his work with AnOther, Dazed and countless other magazines. Now though, Anthony Turner is launching a publication of his own: a zine devoted to LGBTQ+ youth, created in partnership with photographer and fellow Another Man contributor Sarah Piantadosi. Titled Mortal Remains, the zine is the result of multiple collaborations with queer kids around the world. Describing it as a “a documentation of youth today”, Turner says it was “a case of looking for all these kids who truly believed in themselves... There was no stylist on the shoots, so what you see in the picture is how they turned up.” Mortal Remains is out February 18, launching with a series of parties and “illegal fly poster campaigning”. Head to Dazed to read more and to Claire de Rouen to pre-order a copy.
