Hubert de Givenchy has Passed Away

Count Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy, the French designer and founder of the house of Givenchy sadly passed away on Saturday at the age of 91. The designer was best known for the clothes he created for his friend and muse Audrey Hepburn, who wore his costumes in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Funny Face, among others, and said his “lovely simple clothes [gave me] the feeling of being whoever I played.” “He revolutionised international fashion with the timelessly stylish looks he created for Audrey Hepburn, his great friend and muse for over 40 years,” the house said today in a statement. “His work remains as relevant today as it was then. He will be greatly missed.”
