Balenciaga Partners with The World Food Programme

At Balenciaga’s A/W18 show yesterday, the brand announced a partnership. No, not a collaboration – the label has teamed up with The World Food Programme, donating $250,000 to the United Nations charity and including items emblazoned with its logo and “Saving Lives, Changing Lives” slogan in the collection. According to the house, these items – which include hoodies and belt bags – will be sold to raise money for the charity. “We consider this partnership with The World Food Programme to be an important step in making fashion useful in a different way and supporting good causes with our products whenever possible,” commented Balenciaga’s Creative Director, Demna Gvasalia.
