When it came to shooting Tod’s A/W17 collection for the latest edition of Another Man themed around the idea of ‘Modern Mythologies’, photographer Laura Coulson and contributing fashion editor Mathew Stevenson-Wright headed to the breathtaking setting of Winspit Quarry, on the cliffs of the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. Against this rugged, wild backdrop, the pair shot the collection, highlighting the Tod’s new laceless trainer, urban in the resilient landscape. Made in Italy and adorned with the brand’s signature Gommino, this new style “combines fresh ideas and traditional techniques” – much like the rest of the A/W17 range. Titled Trepidation of the Spheres and with new face Arun Gupta cast as the protagonist, the story represents a journey of self-discovery; a man’s quest to find himself.
