Kurt Cobain’s Personal Possessions Go On Display at Ireland Exhibition

A collection of Kurt Cobain’s personal possessions – including his drawings, sketches, clothing, hand-written lyrics and only car (a blue 1965 Dodge Dart) – have gone on display at the Museum of Style Icons in Newbridge, Ireland. Curated by Cobain’s family, Growing Up Kurt Cobain was opened yesterday by the late musician’s mother, sister and daughter. “I am so thrilled to participate and support my family as they honour their brother and son at the Museum of Style Icons in Ireland,” said his daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. “I have always been the most intimately informed of who my father was by my grandmother and aunts. I am so ecstatic that their view of who Kurt was gets to be celebrated with Nirvana fans the world over.”

Growing Up Kurt Cobain is at the Museum of Style Icons in Newbridge, Ireland, until September 30, 2018. Preview the exhibition below and head here for more information
