Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine Folds After Nearly 50 Years

Yesterday we were met with the sad news that Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine has folded after nearly 50 years of publication. Its closure comes after a rocky few months for the magazine – in February staff were locked out of its office because of a rent non-payment, in April creative director Karl Templer resigned after being accused of sexual assault, and in May editorial director Fabien Baron and his wife, stylist Ludivine Poiblanc, announced that they were suing the publication’s parent company, claiming they were owed more than $600,000. Nicknamed “the Crystal Ball of Pop”, Interview was the ultimate survey of pop culture and celebrity – its closure marks a sad day for publishing.
