Skepta Has Been Made a Chief of His Nigerian Hometown

As you may have noticed on Instagram, grime superstar and Another Man cover star Skepta is currently in Nigeria for Arise Fashion Week. Yesterday though, the rapper was at his hometown Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State, South-West Nigeria, where – in a beautiful ceremony – he was made a chief. “Thank you to the Baale, Chiefs of Odo Aje and King for presenting me with my Chieftaincy title today,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am honoured and will continue to put time and love into Nigeria, especially the community of Odo Aje.” Skepta’s title is now Chief Amuludun of Odo Aje – congratulations!
